Beautiful spot to eat- love the outdoor patio. Had the Big Boom entree and an old fashion. Delicious! The vegetables did need a little salt but loved the variety and how they were sautéed!
Very tasty. Good portion sizes. Great steak medallions. Local meat and cheese curds. Staff was super friendly. Celebrated our anniversary and gave a tour of the historic building.
I got house salad with blue cheese dressing, chicken pesto flatbread, tiramisu, water, & sprite. All were tasty. I watched the Lions vs Chargers football game on T.V. Staff is friendly & very helpful. Street parking. I will come back next time I visit Chippewa Falls, WI.
This is my second time here and just WOW. The owner was super accommodating and our server Heaven was fantastic. The food was incredible, everything was so fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
I really like their menu! I ordered shrimp dish and there was option to have smaller/half portion. Also seasonal vegetables as sides is a great plus because as Polish I suffer to have enough vegetables in a restaurants. To sum up - great spot, friendly service, lovely outdoor area.
When to try something new and found this place. The cheese curds we different than your typical curds in Wisconsin, they were cubed and lightly battered 4.5* for these. The drink menu was long, and the drinks were strong, so 5* for this. I had the house special, smoked bacon wrapped meatloaf, which was nearly perfect. I just needed a tad more salt. My wife could not stop raving about the mixed vegetables too. The place has deep history that will give you goosebumps. Jes, I'd like to say a job well done and your staff was great.
We stopped in to have a quick lunch and walked in to a BUSY lunch rush! The bars dining tables were full, as well as the side dining area, so we sat at the bar. Joe was the only bartender/server working and I was amazed at how well he handled himself under such a stressful situation! He remained calm and polite! I am extremely impressed. And to top it off, my Hawaiian Long Island and Lunch was great!
Super accommodating and friendly staff. Fun historic haunted house decor. We were with a large group and everyone enjoyed their food. The roasted brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. Highly recommend ordering one of their excellent sauces on the side for dipping fries. Yum!
First experience over at Sheeley House and I was pleasantly surprised with the service, atmosphere, & the food. The Big Boom Shrimp entree? To. Die. For. Portion sizes are great. The owner is extremely attentive and makes you feel right at home. The place was bustling with quests, & had a bit of a wait, but what do you expect on a Friday evening? I will absolutely be returning!
Trust a guide that does a lot of reviews all over the country. This saloon, which is really a restaurant that has awesome atmosphere, is exceptional food. Not just for Chippewa, but one of the best if not the best in the entire area. I’ve been coming here for years and it really is a master class in cooking every time. The photos are fried cheese curds…much better than most. But the awesomeness Is the brussel sprouts…which are some of the best I’ve had on the planet. The burger is absolutely perfect…even the side salad is better than most. The prices are on par with exceptional food…but wouldn’t you want to pay just a little more than the tired bar and grill versus perfection? I’m not a paid reviewer…they don’t even know me…just want to support the best restaurants in the country. Sorry the photos are from a to-go order, but you won’t regret it.
